NEON is a narrative driven coffee table book. It shows you glimpses of a fictive reality, which is corrupted by greed and technology. To create a narrative within a fake city I travelled 6 countries over the span of 2 years and casted and shot 24 diverse models.
Thanks to befriended artists, who collaborated on styling, Illustrations and an official Soundtrack, this became the most ambitious personal project I’ve worked on. It combines influences from anime, manga, cyberpunk media and niche fashion themes such as techwear to create a one of a kind coffee table book.

The book launched during the COVID19 Pandemic in October 2020. It was promoted only on Instagram and Twitter. To maximize its reach I posted regularly on different social media channels such as Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest, Are.na, Behance, Tumblr, Model-Kartei and Vimeo.
This resulted in it being sold out after 4 months and purchases from 30 cities in 8 different countries.

To enhance the cinematic nature of NEON I collaborated with DELIQUESCY who composed and mixed a 20 Track long official Soundtrack at his own Studio in South Africa. The Soundtrack itself was bundled as a digital download with every purchase of NEON.
The vinyl was created as a 1/1 single Edition for my personal archive.

To give followers on my social media accounts a better insight to the production of NEON, I created the so called „Production Diary“. It was a weekly released vertical vlog in which I talk about how I plan my shootings, why I think gear doesnt matter and similar topics.
In the end I created 2 seasons, consisting of 13 episodes with a social media optimized duration of 1:30 – 3:30 minutes each.

My goal was to bridge different artstyles and cyberpunk influences to create something that has never been done before. To do so, I reached out to ALTERNATECYBORG and asked if shes interested in collaborating on this project. Luckily she said yes and created 10 Illustrations exclusively for this book.
