MAMMUT RETAIL EXPERIENCE

  • Year

    2021-2023

  • Client

    MAMMUT SWISS 1862

I was hired in 2021 to translate digital marketing concept into physical spaces for MAMMUTs full price stores, Factory outlets, Showrooms, Pop-Up and Shop in Shop spaces. To do so, I create concepts with a small team of visual merchandising specialists and coordinate those concepts with a team of suppliers. I manage the complete process, from product planning to the first ideas, image selection, production, store briefing and final execution.

Due to a overlapping vacancy I was approached to become a Interim-Manager for the Visual Merchandising team and report directly to the head of Marketing during that time. I also helped onboarding the new Head of Visual Merchandising from April to July 2022, before taking the next step to become the Creative Operations Manager.

In 2023 I was approached to become a Interim-Manager for the Content Office team and report directly to the CMO during that time. My main responsibility was managing a team of 12 creatives, keeping sure the workload is fairly balanced and monitoringbriefings on all marketing activities and special projects. I was also a key project coordinator for the onboarding of a new creative agency.

As of 2023 Im coordinating the tasks and resources of all of Mammut Media House’s copywriters and designers to ensure that all content creation is completed on time and executed to the highest brand standards. I also continue to work as Art Director for all brand moments within the global Mammut retail spaces, including window installations, additional graphics and storytelling moments throughout the consumer journey within the store. In addition to that I also coordinate and manage all of these installations with internal and external partners.

MAMMUT SWISS 1862 approached me to create the creative concept for 2021s XMAS Campaign. I tackled this task together with a small team of Visual Merchandisers, Copy Writers, a great photography team and different suppliers.

Our starting point were products in red, white and black, which have a strong link to MAMMUT’s swiss heritage and are also very common in traditional christmas decoration. In the next step we focused on bringing together MAMMUT’s roots in alpine sports with the idea of christmas, which led to the idea of the alpine safety sledge and the headline „GIVE THE GIFT OF ADVENTURE“. The headline was planned to be as inclusive as possible, so we avoided wordings like „xmas“ or „christmas“.

Once the overall concept was signed off, I created concepts for shop windows, instore setups and gave guidelines to the digital design team, who brought the campaign to life in our webshop and on social media. I was also managing the photoshoot logistics for the digital team and the international execution of this campaign.

This campaign has been implemented in 30 stores in 5 countries, the official webshop, all social media channels and the official newsletter.

AUDI Germany was one of my main clients when I was still working at PX5 in Munich. I was tasked to create a gritty high contrast look for their motorsport identity, including the color correctness of the AUDI red and all of their sponsors. I did the post production for over 30 cars, which was their complete motorsports lineup at that point, and portraits of their respective drivers. The pictures were used in all official media, from websites to autograph cards.

    Brillen Wohlfart / Hörakustik Wohlfart

The Gesundheitszentrum Wohlfart approached me to create a cohesive branding for their optician and hearing care service. It was very important to me to pay hommage to the heritage of „Brillen Wohlfart“ and also think about the human body as a reference for the logo placement.
