Returns & Refunds

Your right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you can withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period begins on the day you, or a third party named by you who is not the carrier, take possession of the goods. For pre-orders, this means the 14 days only start once your book has arrived. You can also withdraw at any time before that.

How to withdraw

Just let me know clearly that you want to withdraw from the contract, for example:

You can use the model withdrawal form, but you don’t have to. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your notice before the withdrawal period has expired.

Cancelling a pre-order before shipping

If you change your mind before your book has been shipped, simply write to me. Since nothing needs to be sent back, you’ll receive a full refund within 14 days of your message.

Sending the book back

Please send the book back to the address above, or hand it over in person in Munich, no later than 14 days after notifying me of your withdrawal. The deadline is met if you send the book before the 14 days have expired. You bear the direct costs of returning the goods.

Please pack the book securely to avoid damage in transit. You are only liable for any loss in value if it results from handling the book in a way that goes beyond what is necessary to examine its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Returning from Switzerland? Please get in touch beforehand and I’ll help you with the customs paperwork.

Your refund

I will refund all payments received from you, including the delivery costs (except for any additional costs resulting from choosing a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day I receive your notice of withdrawal. The refund is made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise. You will not be charged any fees for this refund.

I may withhold the refund until I have received the book back or until you have provided proof that you have sent it, whichever is earlier.

Damaged or defective books

If your book arrives damaged or has a defect, please contact me at hi@raphael-lechner.com with a short description and, if possible, a photo. The statutory warranty rights apply, and you will not bear any costs for returning a defective book. If you notice visible transport damage on delivery, it helps if you also report it to DHL. This does not affect your rights in any way.

Questions

If anything is unclear, just write to hi@raphael-lechner.com. I’m happy to help.
